There are days that are remembered not by words, but by deeds. October 24 was exactly such a Saturday — the final chord of the republican Week of Paternal Love.
More than 400 people gathered together at the call of their hearts to help the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology. Amoung them was the team of the Republican Scientific Medical Library!
On behalf of the RSML, our colleagues took part in the community work day: Igor Prokhorov, Irina Andreeva, and Alexey Litvin. Together with the other participants, they helped put things in order in the future medical offices and hallways, bringing a piece of their warmth to this great and important cause for the whole country.
The opening of the new building is sceduled for October 30. On the eve of this event, every pair of hands was worth its weight in gold! The director of the centre, Anzhelika Solntseva, sincerely thanked all the participants, calling the community work day a “dress rehearsal” before the most important start and a huge support team.
For the RSML, participation in this campaign is much more than just cleaning. It is an opportunity to feel like part of a single medical family of Belarus and to contribute to the place where children’s lives are saved every day. Very soon, the innovative building will open its doors to the first little patients, and we are happy to be involved in this bright and good beginning.
