    Долгушин, М. Б. ПЭТ/КТ в практической онкологии : монография / М. Б. Долгушин, И. С. Стилиди. – М. : ВИДАР, 2021. – 522 с.

Positron Emission Tomography (PET) as a method of molecular imaging has existed for several decades. Initially, it was used in the study of neurological diseases and cardiology, and later in oncology. However, it is in oncology that PET has found its main application, and today it is impossible to imagine comprehensive diagnostics for cancer patients without radioisotope methods.

This monograph is the result of many years of accumulated experience in daily clinical practice and scientific work of the Positron Emission Tomography Department at the National Medical Research Center of Oncology named after N.N. Blokhin, Ministry of Health of Russia. The work includes an analysis of data from more than 15,000 patients who underwent comprehensive diagnostic examinations, including PET/CT.

The book presents both well-established approaches that have stood the test of time and remain relevant, as well as modern perspectives and promising directions that have emerged only recently. Particular attention is paid to the correlation of PET/CT with other diagnostic methods (CT, MRI, ultrasound, scintigraphy).

The monograph will be useful not only for practicing clinicians, but also for interns, residents, and postgraduate students specializing in radiology, as well as for medical university students.

For those wishing to explore the material in more detail remotely, we invite you to use our Electronic Medical Library. This week only, the book is available there without prior request!
